Jiaojiao grew up in China,
but wanted to come to Maine because
of the beautiful scenery and the famous hospitability of Maine
people. She was even smiling when she said how people
are nice here.
Jiaojiao started her graduate business
school journey when she took undergraduate accounting courses. She mentioned,
"I found it very interesting and wanted to pursue my career in accounting".
After being accepted to the University
of Maine, she was awarded the International
Students Scholarship from the Graduate
School. She is also working with
Dr. Wendy Coons grading, proctoring and tutoring.
She mentioned that she enjoys tutoring athletes
and added, "I think my students also like me, because I do my best to help
them and teach them the basics, the important points, and how to master the
knowledge in an effective way". Jiaojiao is also a talented dancer and
musician. She has participated in a couple of international festivals with her
astonishing performances in dance.
After graduation, Jiaojiao hopes to pass the CPA exam and gain
enough experience and knowledge to become a certified CPA. She has a dream of
financing students in China
for higher education. As a successful international student at the University
of Maine, Jiaojiao is presenting
the values of her country now by dancing in festivals, helping students, and
being an outstanding student. She will be a wonderful ambassador of the Maine
Business School
by being a well-known CPA and giving back to her community.
