Graduate Business Association is:“Under Construction”Sorry for the inconvenience we causedby Irem Secil Reel |
The Graduate Business
Association (GBA) was a sleeping beauty for the last year. Some students
didn’t know about the organization, while others had forgotten we
had one. Those graduates in their second year might remember the social
events of the MBA/MSA Association. You might remember getting together
in the Bears Den or Pats Pizza, enjoying a free pizza and drinks, spending
time with friends and having good ol bonding time. And then what happened
to MBA/MSA Association? Where did those active officers go? What happened
to the socials? In short, the MBA/MSA Association appeared to fade into
obscurity. This was very sad.
However, not everyone has
given up. Under the leadership of Peter Harriman, the GBA has resurrected with
very important topics in its agenda. A couple of students in the program have been
instrumental in constructing the NEW GBA! Audrey Co, Christine Clark, Frederick
Einstein, Peter Harriman, Gilliad Munden, Cristin O’Brien, Irem Secil Reel, and
Ana Zivanovic represent the volunteer committee of the GBA. The committee is
now working on two important projects: the development of the constitution and the
organization of the 1st Annual GBA Graduation Banquet. In addition, the
GBA is creating a welcome packet for the new graduate business students arriving
in the fall semester. Christine Clark was the primary driving force behind the
constitution as well as lobbying for a dedicated GBA office. Thank you Christine!
The GBA meets every Monday to
create a sense of community and to increase opportunities for outside class
learning, networking and opportunities for growth and development. The new office
is next to the computer lab on the second floor in DPC. Please feel free to
stop by for the meetings every Monday at
