Trip to Germany, May, 2003
In 2003 University of Maine business students traveled to Germany for two
weeks of intense work. Our students had earlier formed teams with students
from the German university in Aalen, and started projects for Bosch,
Hewlett-Packard, Innovative Navigation, Linde, and Thyssen Lift Systems,
projects involving the introduction of new products, use of new technology,
and entrance into new markets. The students' stay in Germany, and each
project, culminated with a presentation to upper management of the project
firms. While in Germany, the students also visited Berlin and Nuremberg.
