Welcome New Colleagues

Welcome Letter

Sunday, 24 August 2008

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the Graduate Business Association (GBA), welcome to the University of Maine. We are very excited that you have decided to join us at The Maine Business School, and we look forward to working with you in the coming semesters. The graduate business programs do not exist without us, the students, and with that power we have the responsibility of improving the MBA and MSA programs, and making them better for the students that follow in our footsteps.

The GBA is a student run organization aimed at improving the graduate school experience and increasing the future possibilities for business students. Our goals this year include expanding alumni relations, strengthening ties with Maine businesses in pursuit of internship and job possibilities, and forming long lasting bonds between the students, faculty, and alumni. Ultimately, we are here to become quality, highly-sought professionals, while enjoying our time together. The GBA has some exciting plans to get the year started, including a homecoming tailgate party with alumni, and fun social events that we hope you will join us for.

All graduate business students are welcome to attend any GBA event, but we encourage you to consider becoming an active member, by joining a committee or running for an office. It is an opportunity to make an active contribution to your graduate program and supplement your education with some fun and practical project management experience. Stop by our office in room 203 DPC to find out more!

Good luck in all your pursuits!

Warmest Regards,

Your GBA officers
